Amazing but true - it’s now 15 years since Shropshire’s infamous satirical singing trio Three Men in a Bowtie gave their very first concert.
Since then they’ve performed to almost 45,000 ecstatic people in over 300 village halls - appearing on BBC 1 & BBC 2 and at the Edinburgh, Ludlow, Leominster and Much Wenlock Festivals along the way.
They’ve also performed their ridiculous brand of silly songs and manic monologues in an Opera House, several cowsheds, a Methodist Chapel and numerous leaky tents.
The line up has evolved over the years but this celebratory show features all six members of the group - John Moore, Martin Jones, Chris Eldon Lee, Fred Phipps, Nonny James and (of course) Shropshire’s very own agricultural starlet Freda the Female Farmer.
So expect a riotous, irreverent, lampooning evening of greatest hits and more recent numbers such as Miss Marigold (in which Martin falls in love with a rubber glove), Men Calypso (on why men are so useless), Match of the Day and The Relief Milker’s Phone Call - plus the World Premiere of The Highly Pathetic Ballad of the Lonely Park Right Attendant.
The show is not ideal for younger children. |
