15th Anniversary Tour opens in Market Drayton
January 2008
Shropshire satirical singing trio “Three Men in a Bowtie” has chosen Market Drayton for the opening night of their 15th anniversary tour.
The group will present a selection of their infamous ‘silly songs and manic monologues’ at Festival Drayton Centre on Saturday 8th March at 7.30pm.
Despite playing venues as varied as the Edinburgh, Ludlow, Leominster and Much Wenlock Festivals - as well as 300 village halls, numerous tents and half a dozen cow sheds up and own the country - the group has never given a public performance in the North Shropshire market town of Market Drayton.
So, to put matters right, they will open their prestigious anniversary tour in the town, where the show will even feature a licentious song called “The Girl From Market Drayton”.
Also included will be recent items such as “Men, Don’t You Just Love Them” (on why men are so useless), “Miss Marigold” (about falling in love with a rubber glove) and “How to Keep Pigs”, as well as old favourites from the past 15 years.
Tickets are £10 and are on sale at the Festival Drayton Centre in Frogmore Street, Market Drayton or on 01630 654 444. |
